Ready to get your hands messy and create the coolest, most memorable holiday gifts ever? Skip the store-bought presents this year and give your family and friends something completely unique—made entirely by YOU!

Introducing our 4-Week Holiday Gift Ceramics Class, designed specifically for 4th to 8th graders at Richmond Waldorf. You will step into the shoes of a professional ceramic artist, transforming raw clay into beautiful, functional holiday treasures.

Here is what we are building together:

• Week 1: Holiday Ornaments & Keepsake Tags
  Roll, stamp, and cut out custom holiday shapes! We will use lots of fun stamps and textures to make gorgeous ornaments and gift tags that will pop on any tree or package.
• Week 2: Coiled Keepsake Bowls
  Learn the ancient art of coil building! You will design and construct a custom ceramic dish perfect for holding jewelry, keys, or holiday candy. Smooth the walls flat or leave the coils exposed for a rugged, textured look.
• Week 3: The Ultimate Hot Cocoa Mug
  Master the slab method! You will create a functional mug using the art of the slab method. Design a custom handle and reinforce it like a pro so it can safely hold your morning hot chocolate.
• Week 4: The Glazing Extravaganza
  Time for color! Once you fire all your masterpieces in Waldorf’s electric kiln, you get to paint them with vibrant, liquid-glass glazes. Watch your creations transform from dull clay into glossy, durable works of art.
